Urgent Appointments
If you require an urgent same day appointment, you will be offered an appointment in our emergency surgery within 24hrs. This will be with the duty doctor or nurse practitioner, depending on your condition. Emergency appointments will deal with just one urgent medical problem per patient. We can also offer a telephone consultations if you wish to speak with the doctor on an urgent matter. Please ring the surgery number 01442 265 322.
Telephone Consultations
If you are phoning for results or are responding to a message that has been left asking you to make a telephone appointment, you can speak to the duty doctor or if you prefer to speak to a particular doctor you will be advised when they are next in the surgery.
Surgery Extended Hours
The Surgery now provides extended opening hours in response to patient wishes and to allow patients greater choice to see their GPs outside of normal working hours.
Extended Hours Times:
- Tuesday – 18:30 to 19:30
- Wednesday — 18:30 to 19:30
- Friday – 18:30 to 19:30
These clinics are held once a week and are pre-booked appointments only.
Waiting Times
We aim to see all patients as close as possible to their appointment time, however, this may not always be possible (e.g. if the doctor has to leave the surgery for an emergency). If there is a delay you will be informed by the receptionist and offered the choice of making another appointment.
Cancel Appointments
If you are unable to keep an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that the appointment can be offered to someone else. It would be great to give at least 2 hour notice so that this can be used again. You could also reply as ‘CANCEL’ to the appointment text reminder sent to you on your mobile phone
